“ROAD SAFETY!! ITS NOT A JOKE!”
Driver education is the key and we should not stop trying to get the message out there. How embarrassing would it be for the policy makers and the finance department if people started listening to everyday people who are passionate about road safety (ROAD SAFETY!! ITS NOT A JOKE.)
This site is great and has generated a lot of interest from everyday road users to the trucking fraternity. For more on road safety go to www.oztruckintv.com for interviews with real truckies. Hear what they have to say about road safety (REDUCE THE SLAUGHTER BY A QUATER)

G’day Mick, good on ya. Been on that site, interesting stuff!
Yes,It’s[CTC100]come a long way and is not just a truck bashing site as you realize. Road Safety is everyones concern as you say and rightly so.
From truckies, their partners, their families and general public the message is the same….LOOK LISTEN LEARN.

Dear Mick
I find it very encouraging to see the comments coming in to Coast to Coast 100, by every day people with their concerns for safe practices for all. This site is obviously growing healthily; then to see other sites such as http://www.oztruckintv.com with similar attitudes communicating.
If other sites of similar nature were to all communicate with one another, the voice of the people can only get stronger in their plea for sane practices for drivers of all kinds and sensible working conditions and appropriate treatment for the men and women involved in the Transport Industry, also adequate amount of rest stops to help with fatigue management. Plus education of motorists in regard to mixing with heavy vehicles and a respect between the truckie and the motorist.
Wouldn’t that be great!
Dear Westy I am sure that your wife Kerry Kare Bear must be a very lovely lady, she obviously shows caring toward you and your passion for bears.
We all have our special interests and with you it just happens to be bears, that’s okay! But where is Kerry putting them all!!

Dear Mick ….. I should also include the extreme importance of the upgrading of the Pacific Highway, with all of the other safety wishes which I would like to see unfold. Lets hope that all of these ideals will become a reality. As you have said, ‘Road Safety is not a Joke’ Sincerely Irene Baldwin

A warm welcome to Mick and Dave - the “driving” forces behind oztruckintv - both truck drivers - both out there having a go adding their support in the fight to save lives on the roads. I encourage you all to jump onto the oztruckintv site - particuarly motorists - for a look at who truck drivers are, what they do, the conditions they work under and the issues they face. The site is informative, insightful, funny and educational. We at COASTTOCOAST100 are happy to work with Mick and Dave to advance the road safety cause …..

Peter ….. thanks for the mention, I know the reaction we would get from most of the Industry, but we can live with that. It is encouraging, though, to know that the site is attracting attention from your side of the fence too. As always, this is an open forum site and ideas and/or comments are welcome, as are personal views, from the whole community, so, on behalf of Lyndal and the rest of us, feel free to write again.
Cheers Westy

Hi Lyndal ….. I was looking around for another ‘Hug a Truckie’ story, or something of encouragement. Again, on Ozprodrivers site, which is always up to date on news and information and another great site to visit; On this site I found an encouraging article involving very dedicated people committed in trying to improve safety standards, also sane practices and conditions for the Transport Industry and the motoring public. I have the greatest respect for these particular people. For those who say that ‘C TO C 100′ isn’t concerned about the truck driver, or is only interested in ‘truckie bashing’, this article sure contradicts those criticisms; so everybody, take a look at Ozprodrivers site at “Truckies Union in Drive to Improve Safety” Thursday 30th October 2008
